Before the Year Ends

Few hours from now, we will be leaving 2012 behind but it seems that it will not have a graceful exit on us. We are sick for days already and it is really hard. The kids are having fever and I have fever and tonsilitis too. It ‘s really hard to take care of the kids because I am also sick. I’m thankful that my husband spends time taking care of us and I hope that we will feel better soon.

So here I am, still awake because I slept the whole day due to my fever. After taking meds, I feel better now and I hope that tomorrow is a better day.

Gareth’s Costume

I spent my Sunday sewing Gareth’s Greek costume for Christmas.  It was hand sewn because I don’t have a sewing machine.

He will be using this costume on their Christmas Party. I hope he will perform well. I can’t wait to see him perform.

Because of this project, I realized that I need a sewing machine. Maybe, I will get one in the near future so that if my kids costume, I will be the one designing it. 🙂

Gareth and Ayumi Moments

My kids are my life. They are my inspiration why I am continue doing good and keeping myself healthy because I want to see them grow old and to be with them in every milestone of their lives.

I love to wake up each day seeing them happy and contented. Though sometimes they quarrel a lot but I think that is part of being a kids. I know that they love each other and I can feel that they really take care of each other.

I want them to grow up close to each other.

While they are sleeping.

They love picture time. 🙂

After watching movie.

Gareth is teaching Ayumi to read. 🙂

Busy December

I am excited for December because I love Christmas! I remember when I was a child, I am always looking forward for Christmas and I am even organizing parties that will make my parents very busy cooking food. Me and my sister are also preparing our dance number. Oh well.. those were the days that I never thought that I don’t know how to dance. ahahahah

Anyway, December for me is very special because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. As a Roman Catholic, this season is very special for me.

I also love wrapping gifts for the kids and for my siblings. December also is my time of joining parties with friends. I will be meeting my college friends and my business partners in the coming weeks. Just last weekends, I make sure to buy the kids gifts earlier to avoid the Christmas rush but still I feel exhausted because of the traffic.

How about you? How’s your Christmas preparation?

Dealing Diabetes

Since I am really determine to fight my diabetes, I am reading more books that will definitely help me.  I ordered most of my books from Amazon and just in time before Christmas, here comes my order. My Christmas list is now complete! I can’t wait to read my new books.

Wish List

Yay!! Christmas is coming and here are my wish. I know I can’t have it right away but i will be working hard and save a lot for my wishes.

1.  Celine Mini Luggage

2.  Techno Marine Cruise

3. Stud Diamond Earrings

That’s my wish and hopefully Santa Clause will grant my wishes. 🙂

Of course, my ultimate wish is GOOD HEALTH!

God bless everyone!

Think Positive

Sometimes, we really can’t help it but we feel so low but I am trying my best to be on the positive side always. Just like dealing my diabetes, sometimes I am happy with my blood sugar but sometimes down.

I realized that it is a lifetime battle.  Last year my Hba1c is 11% and the normal range is 4% – 7%. Since then I started changing my lifestyle. I started on my diet and exercise. The first few months was really hard but eventually my system got used to the changes.

Last week, I had my hba1c test again and the result is 9.8%. So far it has changes and I am happy with it. My next target is to reach it to 7%. I know and I believe that I can do it.

My goal is to exercise 30 minutes everyday and eat less carbs. So far it’s working.

I know that someday, my blood sugar will be back to normal. It’s not easy but I will do everything to reach that goal.
