>Trying Apple Cider Vinegar

>

As I am typing this post, my blood sugar rises up to 316mg/dl. Today is Monday, the busiest day of the week. I am sitting the whole day doing my work and since I can’t work out today I think it shoots my sugar high.
Well, I am not taking any medications, I don’t like the feeling and the body reactions. I think I will die earlier if I have to take medications. So I’ve done my research and found out that Apple Cider Vinegar is a big help. So here I am sipping apple cider vinegar and hoping that before I go to sleep my blood sugar will lower.
I am doing this for 1 week already and so far my blood sugar is doing great and I think I will stick to this.
Tomorrow is Tuesday, my working out day and I am excited for it. I hope that my blood sugar will stay below 200mg/dl.
Please pray for me…

>Peanut Butter for Diabetics

>

I found out that Peanut butter is very helpful for diabetics.

  • When eating pancakes, spread with peanut butter instead of butter or margarine. Top off with sugar-free syrup.
  • Peanut butter, regular Jif Peanut Butter used as this example, has more protein than carbohydrates. This is important for diabetics.
  • Need a quick snack? Cut a slice of whole grain bread in half. Top one of the halves with a tablespoon of peanut butter, add a tablespoon of low-sugar jelly then top with the other half of the bread. Or you can eat it without the top piece of bread if you prefer.
  • For snacks, lunches or party platters, cut a rib of celery into three or four pieces. Stuff the inside with some peanut butter.
  • Slice an apple into wedges. Dip into peanut butter for snacking. The protein in the peanut butter will help to counteract the natural sugar in the apple.
  • When eating out and tempted by dessert, eat a few bites or small slice of peanut butter pie. This should be after eating meat or other protein during your meal. I have done this several times at a local steakhouse and it has never caused my blood sugar to go over 120.
  • At a birthday party and want a piece of cake? Ask the hostess for a small slice of cake and a tablespoon of peanut butter. I always do this and it has never increased my blood sugar.

    >Sugar Rush!

    >

It’s been 2 weeks since I found out that I have diabetes but before that I already have a feeling that there is something wrong in my system. I had the symptoms months ago but I just tried to ignore it. Maybe it was a blessing that I found it so that I can start taking care of myself. I have depression almost everyday! I am just trying to act normal because I don’t want everyone to notice it. I don’t want my husband and kids got affected. I am very sensitive lately to almost everything. Hubby started to notice it and he is really helping me to cope.

About the medication, I stopped taking the meds immediately when I found out that it will just damage my liver. During the first day when I took the meds I got stomachache, palpitations and I almost lose consciousness. So I decided to stop the medication and I only want the natural way of controlling my diabetes.
I’ve been reading a lot online about diabetes and so far I learn a lot at the same time scared. I am now aware of the complications of diabetes and I am so worried about it. My father died because of liver cancer and because of that I don’t want to risk my liver, because I might have a weak liver. Well.. talking about genes. So I am just trying to prevent it to happen.
I found out that diet, exercise and some other natural products is helpful so I have to try it first. I am also checking my blood sugar many times a day. My lowest blood sugar so far is 178 and the highest is 380. The normal is 120 – 140.
I am exercising 3 times a week and stayed 2 hours at the gym. I am happy that hubby joined too. Losing weight is very important to lower my blood sugar.
I hope everything will turn out okay soon. Please pray for me!

    >Trying…

    >My blood sugar seems complicated to handle. Sometimes it goes higher than I expected. I feel so down and got frustrated of the result but I have no choice but to face this one.

I decided to stop my medication. It just causes me stomachache, palpitations and uneasy. I hate the feeling. I want to lower my blood sugar in a natural way. The best way is exercise, I need to lower my weight because as you can see I am overweight. If I can control my weight then the rest will follow.
So for the coming weeks I have no other options but to religiously do my workout. I hope next month, my blood sugar is lower.
    Please pray for me…

    >This is IT!

    >It’s been a week since I decided to start working out. I had a great time at the gym but always had a hard time pulling myself to rise. I wake up late most of the time…

Early this afternoon is my first meeting with my trainer. She’s nice and willing to help me lose weight. We do all the necessary physical test today and it’s not easy to do.
Tomorrow is the first day of my intensive work out. Oh God!! help me… the trainer is keeps on calling me to remind me of our meeting and that alone will help me wake up early.
    I think this is it!!
