Recollection

Last weekend I had my recollection at Cavite. Sometimes we need to stop for a while and try to do some reflection about the things that are happening in our lives. Though I am busy, I know that I needed time for something like this to help me connect myself to what is really important in life.

There are times in our lives that we just keep on doing things without evaluating ourselves if it is really what we wanted to do. There are times that we are just doing it for the sake of doing it but we are not really on it. We are doing it for others and we forgot ourselves. We are doing things that make other people happy and we forgot our own happiness.

It’s not being selfish but I think we should also do something ones in a while to make us happy because how can we serve others if are not happy. We cannot show happiness if our life is full of sadness and emptiness. We should heal ourselves first before we can help the people around us.

That is why the recollection is important specially if you are surrounded with friends who has the same visions and values as you.

I am glad that I joined with my High School Batchmates. They are really amazing. I learned so much from them. Life is not really perfect, we had our own baggages in life and through this recollection we were able to unload some of it.
