It’s time for us to go to supermarket, wala na kaming mailutong ulam. As usual dapat kasama si Gareth.
While at the supermarket, tinuturuan ko sya. I let him identify the fruits and vegetables.
Alam na din nya kung saan hahanapin ang mga favorite food nya. He even requested to buy a guitar and drum sa toys section.
Masaya din kasi nasasanay sya sa maraming tao. As much as possible gusto ko expose si Gareth sa maraming tao para alam din nya paano makisalamuha. I know some special kids na hindi talaga nilalabas ng parents nila.
One time, while we were at the coffee shop, Gareth just pull out the extra chair infront of the stranger. So I apologized and let Gareth sit in the next available chair away from the stranger. I also explained to the stranger that he is a special child. The old man, look at me and told me no need to apologized. He admired that I let my child go out because he knew some parents who hide their special kids at home. I pity those kids but maybe some parents have a reason and I don’t want to judge them. Taking care of special kids are not easy and I don’t want to judge those parents, I know they have difficulties as well.
I just hope that the public are more aware of those who have special kids when we bring them out because it’s not really easy.
