First Time to Eat Durian

Since I was a kid, I really love fruits. Though I am from Mindanao, it was never introduced to me by my family the durian, maybe because Durian is not the usual fruit that we can easily bought because we only eat fruits that we planted or afford. I grew up in that kind of mindset.

My parents worked so hard to provide our basic needs though may pagkukulang pero hindi nila kami pinabayaan na walang wala talaga. I really admire them on how they provided us.

So okay, we will back with the Durian. In this past years, I was really curious about Durians but I told them that I should only eat Durian at Davao and never in any other places.

So when I was in Davao, it was one of the missions. My friends were preparing for it to happen.

We went to a fruitstand and then it happened…

The Durian

When I had my first bite, they were all looking at me and waited for my reaction.  True enough, when you start eating it, you won’t notice the smell anymore but the taste. It was indeed smells like hell but taste like heaven.

Now, it’s official! I can eat Durian anywhere in the world because finally I had my first in Davao. 😀
