Fr. Al’s Birthday

It’s Fr. Al’s Birthday and I already set a schedule to visit him in his resting place in Cavite.

Fr. Al is the founder of Sisters of Mary School and I was one of the scholar. I am so privilege to know him and be part of his congregation. I am not who I am today if not because of him. The school imparted values to me that even until today is a big part of me.

If without his teachings, I am not be able to know the value of sharing blessings, I am not be able to know the value of helping others. Maybe, I am so high of myself if I was not mold early on.

When I was in my lowest point, the teachings I taught help me build myself again and I know that there were times that I will feel so down but with the deep foundation I had during high school I always believe that I can always get up.

If you like to know more about Fr. Al, you can check this link about him.

Then I got a chance to see my batchmate, Sr. Quennie who devote herself to stay in the congregation.

I visited the school with my batchmates who work with me with my manufacturing business.

Then we had our quick dining at Leslie’s Tagaytay.

I went back to Sisters of Mary Girlstown Cavite to see Sr. Riza again. I also see to it to share on my little way. Since, I am a graduate of the Sisters of Mary, I made a promise to myself when I was still a student that if ever I will become successful when I graduated, I will definitely donate part of my earnings to the school.

I believe that Fr. Al helps me to achieve my goals in life and without him I am not where I am today. He has  a big influence to my whole being. Without the help of the Sisters, I know that I don’t have this values I have now.

That is the resting place of Fr. Al and just last month He was already Venerable and we are really so happy for it kasi malapit na maging Santo si Fr. Al.

You can read about his life through this link.

With The President

Sisters of Mary Girlstown invited 50 graduates and I am lucky to be part of the event.

I woke up 7am to prepare ourselves for the event. When I checked outside, I saw lot of policemen, PSG and military people around the campus. It freaked me out at first but I realize that the security was so tight because we are expecting The President to come.

The Sisters of Mary is asking for help from the Government for the K-12 education and of course for some financial support. We are glad that the President was able to make it.

We stayed at the back area kaya medyo malabo ang kuha ko ng pictures.

I am not really into President Aquino but with his gesture of coming to my Alma Mater, it made me happy that he somehow noticed our school that are helping the poor. I hope he will help our school to achieve the goal to continue extend the help to the one who needed it most.

It Feels Like High School Again

Last Sunday, I had an invitation from the Sisters of Mary Girlstown for a school activity. Since I don’t want to be late during the event, I travel on Sunday night just to spend a single night at the Sisters of Mary.

I stayed at the Retreat House with my high school batchmate, Adelfa.

I arrived around 10pm at Cavite and I am glad that there was no traffic.

Since we arrived late, medyo nagutom na kami. So we had our KFC. 🙂

My bed. It was comfortable but I had a hard time sleeping because I missed my kids.

Our breakfast. Ganito talaga ang breakfast namin nong high school pa lang kami,  hanggang ngayon ganyan pa rin. Ang nakakatuwa lang, ang mga students ngayon tinuturuan na silang magluto kaya ang galing galing na nila. Dati kasi wala pang culinary subject.

Ayan bagong gising pa. 🙂 Mukha pa rin pala akong high school. ahhahaha

Then I saw this. Ang daming PSG sa area with the dogs. 🙂
