Visita Iglesia 2019

We had our Visita Iglesia on a Wednesday and not a typical day but I wanted it for Wednesday because there were fewer people in the churches.

Our goal for that day was to visit Padre Pio in Batangas.

So we went directly to Batangas.

This church is so memorable for me because this is where I always go when I was still in college. Kapag sobrang sama ng loob ko, kapag gulong gulo na ako sa mundo at parang feeling ko hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko, dito ako pumapasok. Umuupo lang ako sa sulok, magdadasal tapos paglabas ko medyo ok na ako. Parang nawala na problema ko.

During Holy Week, feeling down ako the whole time. Medyo masama kasi ang pakiramdam ko before that, isang linggo akong may ubo siguro dahil sa sobrang init at kahit masama pakiramdam ko hindi pa rin ako nakapagpahinga. Madaming activities ang mga kids at sa office kaya puno talaga sched ko, kahit hirap na hirap na ako kakaubo, hindi ako pwedeng tumigil. Siguro isang araw lang ako nagpahinga. Isang araw na natulog ako pero hindi pa rin maayos kasi nga ubo ako ng ubo.

Tapos may iniisip pa ako…  alam mo yong feeling na may gusto ka ng mangyari pero hindi pa talaga pwede at wala kang pwedeng gawin kundi maghintay…

Sobrang feeling down talaga ako. Habang nag visita Iglesia kami yon talaga pinagdadasal ko na.

Our last Church is at St. Therese Chapel inside UPLB.

This church is also memorable for me kasi dito kami kinasal ng asawa ko. The first time I visited this church, sobrang nagandahan ako. Ang simple lang ng church. Ayoko kasing maglakad sa mahabang aisle kasi lampa ako. Natatakot akong matapilok kaya dito ang gusto ko. Pero ang reason talaga ay favorite saint ko si St. Therese. Nong high school kami sya talaga laging  kinekwento ng mga Madre. Nainlove ako kay St. Therese. Kaya nong nalaman ko na may St. Therese Chapel, don na talaga agad ang gusto ko.

So yon… I’m happy that I got a chance to visit the churches that was part of me. It’s nice to be back to a place that are familiar to me that I always considered a home.

Pico de Loro

We had our quick getaway the moment we found out that Xavier had almost a week of vacation from School. It was exam week and they only need to report to school for a day then the rest of the week they were free. So we made a rush booking at Pico de Loro and luckily we got a room…  we stayed for 3 nights.

Finally, we were able to go to the beach! so excited…

Xavier loves to write his name to any hotel notes whenever we visited one. So I make sure to collect those notes. 🙂

We were so hungry when we arrived. We had our late lunch.

When Xavier find out that we will be going to the beach, he made sure to prepare his sand toys. He was playing his sand toys the whole time.

I just love lounging in the beach… just chilling… just feeling the sun, wind and salt 🙂

They are both opposites, Gareth loves to stay in the water, he likes to swim so much while Xavier just wanted to stay in the shore and build sand castle.

On our second day, I woke up around 4am then we walked to the beach. It was a 15 minute walk to the beach and it was so perfect. The water was so calm…

We were able to check the other part of the resort and it was our first time to see it. We were here so many times before but we never explore this part.

It was a quick getaway but so worth it.

We will be busy for the rest of the month and I am glad that we squeezed this to our schedule.

Treasure Mountain in Tanay

I always wanted to catch the Sea of clouds so I decided to ask hubby and my siblings that we should go in Treasure Mountain at dawn time.

The night before that we were in the office and went home around 2am and just get our jackets and take us some coffee and suman.

Then we arrived at the area around 5am and it was so dark.

Then they let us in… \

then waited for the sun rise

It was a bit cloudy and rainy that day…

But I am happy to see the sea of clouds.. pero konti lang.

We stayed until 10am because my siblings and her friends went to the spider climb thing…

While they had fun, hubby and I got our picture takings…

It was a great weekend..

We were so tired after that little adventure.

We slept around 1pm already and we were so tired!

I’m sure to come back with the kids!

 

2nd day at Pico De Loro

It was a gloomy day.

I woke up around 6am and we had breakfast.

We decided to stay on the beach when it was not yet raining. We need to be hurry since we will be checking out at 12noon.

Here is Xavier still don’t want to go in the water. He just want to play his sand toys.

But he obliged if I wanted to take a picture of him.

He was thirsty so we ordered mango shake. He liked it so much.

Around 11am we went back to the hotel and start packing our things for our 12 noon check out.

More Pictures

If I choose over mountains or beach, I always have the beach.

Beach can make me feel good. It takes all my worries away.

It is essential for my well being.

During breakfast

A very rare moment that Gareth sits down with me. He got tired of swimming and rested for a while, so I took the moment to have our picture together.

Just resting and I was reading through Kindle. I never finished a book because I need to look after the kids. They are so demanding.

Then hubby asked me to pose in the beach. He is really the one in charge of taking pictures of me. It’s a hit or miss type and he is learning to take good pictures and I appreciate him for that.

He said that I should have my photoshoot session before we headed back to the hotel.

It shows in my face that though it was a quick getaway, somehow I relaxes.

 

 

Night Swimming

June 7, 2018

Dinner time

After taking a nap, we woke up around 6pm and we are ready for our dinner.

While waiting for our food.

I also forgot to take a picture of our food since I became so busy taking care of the kids. No yaya this time and just imagine the mess. I can’t even take a proper picture of us since the kids were already hungry so while waiting for the food, we let them used the gadgets. The restaurant let Xavier borrowed the crayons and coloring book while waiting.

After having our dinner, we went to the pool area.

Then the kids had their night swimming.

Xavier just wanted to stay with me.

But eventually went to the pool. He was crying the whole time, he was so scared in the pool.

We are trying to help him overcome his fear but we failed. We will try harder next time.

But Gareth loves it so much. Sobrang sulit nong time na pinaturuan ko ng swimming si Gareth ng halos isang taon because he loves water so much. Kaya ngayon hindi na ako natatakot na magswim sya kasi marunong na sya but still we need to let him wear floaters all the time.

We made sure that the kids were having fun. Around 10pm we headed back to our room to have a good night sleep.

 

Pico De Loro

June 7, 2018

Woke up around 6am. I usually wake up early if I am on the vacation. I was already starving when I woke up and I just ate the bibingka but still I was hungry so I woke up everyone to have our breakfast in the restaurant.

It was a free breakfast and included in the hotel.

So after having breakfast we are ready to stay in the beach.

They were so excited!

Then the actions began…

Gareth loves to stay in the beach while Xavier just wanted to stay in the shore playing sands.

The sand toys that he requested was very useful.

It was not sunny and so perfect to stay in the beach to chill…

 

But later in the afternoon, it suddenly rains so we have to stay in the Cabana then later on went back to the hotel since the kids were already wet and can’t stand the cold.

Went back to our room and had our afternoon nap.

 

Summer Getaway

June 6, 2018

It was unplanned.

I was so exhausted and I think I need time for a quick getaway.

So on the last week of May, I decided to have a days off at a nearby beach. So we decided to stay at Pico de Loro in Nasugbu.

But since we cannot afford to leave our work on the weekends because that was our busiest, so we had our getaway in the middle of the week which I also like because the beach were emptied and the hotel was less crowded.

So we packed our bags and leaves home around 3pm. Yeah quite late already since we need to catch our sleep and hubby needs rest because he will be the one driving.

 

Xavier was bugging us almost everyday that he wanted to go to the beach to play the sands. He even requested a sand toys.

Yay we were so ready…

We packed kids clothes on the day of our outing because we can’t do it in advance because if Gareth finds out, he can’t sleep anymore.

So we should not let them see that we are packing already or else they will never let us sleep.

It was already dark when we reached Tagaytay so the travel time was quite long. It was also raining that time and I silently wished that the weather will be fine when we reach the beach.

We arrived around 9pm. We were already sleepy and starving.

 

We ordered food then sleep.

We were so tired and sleepy.

 

Road Trip

June 5, 2018

We decided to have a road trip all the way to Laiya Batangas.

It was a fine day. Less traffic and the weather was good.

Arrived at Laiya around 3pm. Then we explore the place.

We checked the Porto Laiya and it was a nice place. A potential vacation place.

After checking Porto Laiya, we were starving.  Actually, I never got a good sleep the night before so I was sleeping the whole trip. When we were approaching Batangas it was raining and the more I can’t  control my eyes. Natulog ako sa buong byahe.

Kahit papano nakapagrelax na rin ako. Hindi talaga ako natutulog sa byahe pero nong time na yon sobrang hindi ko na kayang pigilan. Wala na akong pakialam.

Then we had lomi and goto. It was very satisfying.

Then headed home and preparing our summer getaway.

 

When I Travel

Everytime I visited a new country, I always see to it to bring a Newspaper as a remembrance. I always get the time and date when I was in a particular country.

So while I was cleaning my travel souvenirs, I got this The New York Times paper and it brings back the memories when I was in New York.

I even had a Taiwan Newspaper when we had our stopover, though I don’t understand it, I still keep it because maybe someday I will be able to read it. haahhaha
